My tip today is something you might think is only reserved for newsreaders and award ceremonies – a teleprompter!
By loading the speeches and presentations on to a teleprompter prior to the sessions, your interpreter will be able to perform a sight translation as they speak.
As you might imagine, this is considerably less strenuous than interpreting as the speaker delivers their presentation. Why? Because the volume of their voice, speed of speech, accent and background noise all play a role in how quickly interpreters can get the message across.
Have you ever used teleprompters at your events?
